I need help finding a handguard. It might be Canadian.

I'm in the US and I'm working on cloning a Stargate SG-1 "Carter Special."
I have everything except for one final part: the handguard.

Does anyone know what make and model this handguard is? I've never seen it anywhere else, but I don't think it was custom-made. I don't want to give up looking for one until I at least know what I'm looking for. Here's a bit of background:

Stargate SG-1 was made in Vancouver, BC. For most of the series from Season 4 onward, the main characters use FN P90s. In 2003, while making Season 7, MGM was low on budget and 5.7x28mm prices were high due to the Iraq invasion. (There are no factory 5.7x28mm blanks - they were buying live ammo and pulling the bullets.)

On short notice, the armorers for the show - reportedly Felcan Enterprises - threw together a new weapon specifically for Major Carter, played by Amanda Tapping, who appears in the most action sequences in the second half of the season. Chambered in 5.56, this weapon is much cheaper to operate. We refer to this iconic abomination as the "Micro 16 Assault Rifle" or the "Carter Special."
  • The weapon is built on an Olympic Arms K23B "Stubby" Machine Gun (Edit: not a machine gun).
  • The lower receiver is nearly stock K23B with a *Bell & Carlson 6906-02 Thumbhole stock added. The stock must have been cut in three places to fit carbine configuration. The stock also has a sling stud sticking out the side of the buttpad. (*Edit: Might be an older SGW Inc Thumbhole Stock.)
  • The upper receiver is an Olympic Arms Ultramatch receiver. The other upper receiver parts seem to be stock K23B and they probably chopped the front sight off the gas block. This makes me wonder if they got this K23B from the factory with the match flat top upper.
  • Finish it out with the Elcan C79, Beta C mag, and some rail accessories - oops we need a quad rail.

What is this quad rail handguard? I can't find any trace of it. Here's everything I have so far: **Image and video linking functions will be enabled after you have contributed more to the forum**
  • It got chopped to length and not even retouched. The tube is either thick or ribbed, hard to say.
  • It's a very large tube - almost 2" inside diameter - which is actually a bad thing because some attachments might not even fit on the picatinny rails. If this is a commercial product, it's obvious why they don't make them like this anymore.
  • It uses a standard free-float barrel nut - probably the same barrel nut as the original K23B. No sign of an index pin or jam nut, though.
  • The outside of the tube has ridges along the length centered on the vent holes.
  • The vent holes are large, yes. But the fourth vent hole is definitely bigger. It's symmetrical on all four sides, not a fluke.
  • Finally, there's a sling stud on the left rail closest to the receiver. Was this supposed to match the stock? Are they a set?

Since the show was made in Canada, I have to wonder if this handguard is Canadian. North Eastern Arms is a possibility. I don't know if Diemaco was making anything like this (definitely pre-Colt). Does anyone have any ideas?

Unfortunately, all the search results for "Bushmaster's proprietary four-direction Picatinny rail interface" just circle back to posts about this gun. I haven't found any Bushmaster handguards that match and most of those were actually manufactured by Yankee Hill Machine. Still looking for older reference material on that. I put several examples in my imgur album: **Image and video linking functions will be enabled after you have contributed more to the forum**
