i have a tika .223 and love the gun and the acuracy. what i am looking for is a bigger round. i want a round that reloads nicley, and that i can shoot up to one mile. and if i could i would like something that i could cast the bullets as well. if anyone has any imput please let me know.

.308WIN

:D :sniper:

If its good enough for military rounds its good enough for us. (essencially the same round for all the offical people out there)

Aren't 45-70's a little tough to reload? I though you had to drop the powder down a tube so that it compacted into the casing?

But if I'm wrong, that would be a great idea. I really like the round and if you can get a Sharps, oooohhh boy, you'll have a blast.

.308 was my other though but then you said a cast bullet. I believe you can cast for the .308 but you might get better results out of a copper plated bullet.

Just my 2 cents.

308 and a decent commercial round will be fine i am lookign at Nosler CT balisitic silvertip you can buy it pre loaded for whichester and re load it nice rounds i use them in my .223 and am pondering testing the 30 06 in my dads 30 06 rifle of very similar make
