P14's are .303brit, US M1917 is 30'06, in their original chamberings. Many of these were sporterized and rebarrel to different cartridges. If the barrel is original, it should have a date and manufacturer marks on top, just before the front site. If it's been sporterised, might want to have a gunsmith take a quick look at it.
If it's complete, it should look like this:
up by the sight is 3-18,it is missing all top wood,and some one but on recoil pad bore is good.The stock is cracked,not sure if I will shoot it but now I know what it is.
