I Need Help!

I have a rifle on my bench right now, they guy told me it was a Lee Enfield, I am not that versed in these rifles, how ever it is stamped on the stock band
"G.R.I ISNAPORE 1918 SMILE III" with a reg-tangle beside it. Receiver and barrel are stamped 2018 I can get some pictures in a few min.

Sounds like an Indian made Short Magazine Lee Enfield No. 1 Mk. III*. The 2018 is probably the serial number. One picture is worth a thousand words.

And it has also been sporterized.
