This is my first post on here. I am not "new" to shooting, but by no means am I an expert or gunsmith. I Currently have an SKS (not model D), and I want to adapt it somehow to take external milsurp magazines.
Is there a product, or a way that I can adapt it to take AK mags?
I know to buy them in canada, they will have to be pinned to 5 rounds. I do not want the duckbill style mags and I especially don't want the plastic duckbill mags. They may be great, it is just not the style that I am going for with this project.
I may be "wasting my money" trying to do this, as there are cheaper options out there for duckbill etc. I am not in a position to go and buy a new firearm in the next year or so, and I want to make the most out of the SKS that I do have.
If anyone knows of any kits, or parts, or sources for those parts, please let me know. I have seen SKS's modded to take non-duckbill mags, and that is what I want.
