Ok, so here's the deal...I live on a island. It's a nice island don't get me wrong, but it is so damn hard to get things like ammo for example. So I am finding it difficult to keep my Glock happy. I do not reload at this time, but it is becoming very clear to me that I need to start. I want to be able to make lots and lots of 9mm ammo, and the occasional batch of .233 and .45ACP. What must I do? What do I need? Please tell me!

DILLON. I have a 550 and I love it. I don't reload mountains of ammo, about4000-5000 a year right now. A 650 is slightly quicker witha few nice extras and the 1050 if you're really serious.
There is a big Hornady following on the board too. I've never used their presses but I always hear good things about them.
Decide on a press then you'll need a scale, calipers, tumbler and separator, media.
Lots of knowledgable guys on the board, just ask.

Look at the Dillon 550, 650 and 1050, in ascending order of cost and production speed. The 1050 might make ammo faster than you can make aimed shots.

bear.23 is a dillon dealer. You can check out his website (in his profile) for approx. prices. I bought mine from him and a few extras over the last year or two and had excellent service and fast shipping. Some people have ordered direct from Dillon also.

I'm using an older ('bout 10 years) Hornady Projector, in a semi-progressive mode. I still like priming my cases by hand while watching a hockey game. Then I do the powder charging and bullet seating semi-progressively again.

Just my $.02 but I have a Dillon 650XL with the case feeder. If you want production and to make a round with every pull of the handle the 650 is the way to go. You can easily load 1000rds an hour. The roller handle is a must (IMO) and the strong mounts are a good idea. The Dillon warranty and repair service(replacement parts) is second to none.
