Did I make a mistake in doing that?

Nah, just kidding. Just wondering if anyone else has this gun and what their overall opinion of it is. I've never actually ever held or shot one before. I just bought it on a whim because it seemed like a good deal and I hope it provides me with hours of shooting pleasure :cool:
 
It's a nice gun. Grand Power's will be arriving soon for about $550 or so for the K100 with the removable back straps and basic sights I beleive......I like the look of the hammer better on the Grand Power and the STI hammers have had some failures according to the web.
 
I watched a guy shoot his new one at an ipsc match. His front sight flew off during shooting and he had several jams during the match. Was using factory ammo too. Good luck with yours.
 
Ive had mine for 2 years now and roughly 10k rounds down the pipe. And i now use it in production class IPSC!

I have not had an iota of an issue

Very unbelievabley comfortable grip, smooth action, top notch craftsmanship, easy takedown.


If you dont like it tell me and ill buy it!

-Never had the hammer issue arise (you can purchase the GP K100 hammer if your worried)
-a front sight falling off doesnt sound like a normal wear issue sounds like mishandleing
 
Yeah, I've never really heard of a front sight just "falling off" of a gun. That sounds a bit strange. I have however heard good things (such as what SksA1 posted) about it so I'm optimistic. Plus the grip does look comfortable for my dainty hands.
 
Had mine for a year now and I love it.... Great trigger, smoothe action, funky but simple field strip, shoots straight out of the box, and I love the weight and feel.... Fits my hands just perfectly, probably better than my beloved 1911. Did you get extra mags? So far around two thousand rounds, no issues at all......enjoy!

The front sights on the STI are metal... I had my fiber optic fall out but thats because i didnt install it right.

I have small hands aswell and the grips fit my hands incredably well....(the GP6C and the K100s have interchangeable back straps)

The origional and Mk6 grip seems to fit about 80% of the population well, and the MK7 alternate back straps address the remainder.

My GP6 has 8K+ on it and there's no wear to speak of.
