I said no more Chinese stuff, but then...

I laughed when I read this and my wife asked what was up... so I read it to her... now she's joking that she's going to start taking pictures and inventory and comparing it every time she goes into the safe to pull her shotgun out... lol

You need another safe. One for you and one for her.

Crap! I just accidentally ordered a 1911 in 9mm from SFRC.
I was just leaning on the keyboard and I apparently randomly entered the entire order including my RPAL and CC number.
I would feel bad cancelling the order so I will just have to accept that I have another gun and shoot it a whole bunch until the sadness goes away. Life can seem unfair sometimes...

I ordered a Norc 1911 from SFRC about 2 minutes ago.

I blame Ruger. I have ordered an SR1911 from a CGN sponsor and after waiting for 9 months or so I needed a .45 urgently! I have a thousand pieces of .45 brass that will go bad if I don't load and shoot them soon.

This is primarily a confession; but if you want to support or shame me, I am open to feedback. If you never hear from me again it is because the wife is standing behind my chair and just found out that I ordered another gun...

Man, That should be the number one superbold flashing highlghted sticky herre:

STICKY: FAQ- HOW TO TELL YOUR WIFE YOU BOUGHT ANOTHER GUN

Actually the first thought that passed my mind reading the title was YOU OBVIOUSLY have NEVER visited a CHINESE brothel in Shanghai. NUFF SAID.

Ordered an NP-29 from Canada Ammo but now I'm wondering if I made the right decision. Maybe I should have bought the 45. Does it look different? Feel different? Shoot better? Is the Commander a better model than the full size 1911? There goes another $400. Good thing my wife doesn't know how much I have in my "gun fund". Who needs a winter vacation in Mexico anyways?

The used, I'm at least the 3rd owner, Norc 1911 I bought for the wife shoots like a house on fire and groups way beyond its cost.

Buy one of each and tell her it's a matched set :p

Or maybe buy 2 get 1 free?

You could always sell the Norc when the Ruger comes in.

Just received my Ruger SR 1911 about an hour ago. Initial impression is that it is a nice gun for the money but I am not impressed with the trigger.

Here is my Nork Commander 1911 (old batch) two tone with hard chrome frame.

yeah my friend what can I say...the hard chroming I done last year and the slide blueing done last week by a local gunsmith.
The grips are Brazilian red rosewood double diamond made by K. Ahrends.
All internals, trigger, MSH, pins, etc are made by: Ed Brown, Wilson, Fusion, Les Baer.
I was lucky that all this years have collected a lot of "cheap" 1911 small parts...LOL
Original Norinco remain ONLY the forged slide and frame and the hard chromed barrel.
I'm happy with this Commander because is damn accurate a real tac-driver

that is a beautiful Norc! I've personally been on the fence about them. I really would like to get a sig 1911 in the future. but in the meantime, these look like fantastic pistols for the money that can be upgraded over time such as the pic above to be just awesome!!

again, nice work.
