A guy that I work with brought in a box of ammo and asked me if I wanted it. It had a bunch of 2 3/4 shotgun ammo and some 380 ammo. I said sure how much ... he said free
Well I gave him $20 and took it home .

So before I get to the good stuff .
1. I have a Fabarm Martial - 14 " 12 ga. - it says 3 " on the barrel but this ammo I was given is 2 3/4. I should be safe shooting it right?

2. some of them are shot and some slugs. 11 boxes slug and 7 00 buck !!! :)
My shotgun is a smooth bore so I need to shoot rifled slugs but the box doesnt say rifled slugs but has a pic on the back of what looks like a rifled slug . sorry about the crumby pics but the box says " magnum super slugs 1 1/4 oz . hollow point. "
see pic

3. the other boxes ( 7 boxes ) are run of the mill Winchester super X 00 buck shot ... i opened one box and inside was what the box said... opened another and the other 6 boxes were full of Breneke Rotweil slugs !!!
I nearly craped myself.
They are 2 3/4 and should be safe in my Fabarm eh??

And no you cant have em Nine :D

you're safe to shoot 2 3/4 " shells in a gun chambered for 3". from what i can tell from your photos, all of the slugs are rifled slugs so you're ok there and the buck shot is ok. you're good to go.

DO NOT SHOOT THIS AMMO! It is not safe for your Fabarm. But I'd be happy to take it off your hands and safely dispose of it for you.

;) :D:D:D

But on a serious note, like everyone is saying, it is perfectly safe to shoot. That is a very nice haul! Especially the Brennekes!!!

Thanks fella's ... I new there would be some grubby hands outstretched. :D

so my next question is what is more devestating a 2 3/4 Breneke Rotweil or a 3" slug.
so I know what to carry when out in the bush and I come across the ever illusive Zombie Grizzly .

every now and then ya strike it rich! I'm working on a deal at the moment for a case ( 500 rounds for the new guys!) of old Imperials, 2's and 4's.
for $25!!:eek::rockOn:

Are they the old paper shells????.....

As you can clearly see, the ammo is Federal which makes it safe only for use in North American manufactured firearms. You should try to find some Italian ammo for your shotgun to prevent fatal injury.

Havent even thought about the 380 ammo ... anyone still shoot 380 ;)

Ill probably put it up for sale
Its 4 boxes of 50 rounds .... 95 grain.

And ill keep my eye out for some Italian ammo :p
