everything i have that is ruger has not disappointed me. First gun = p89, never a jam, 1 clean per 1500 rounds.

My first Ruger was a P85, and while it never jammed, it also had the world's worst trigger: long, heavy, gritty, and mushy. A $300 trigger job made it somewhat better, but I got rid of it soon after as I was never going to be happy with it. Never regretted that, either.
On the other hand, I love my Ruger Mk.1.
