You can sure tell which generation grew up on Mattel toys... ...the only wood the know is the kind they get when they stroke their plastic...:D

Do a search on Tikka in the gunsmithing forum, then do one for Remington, Savage, Browning ect... Take note of the problems the other big names are having and enjoy your trouble free, accurate Tikka T3.

do these Elite T3's have barrels that dont unscrew when fired?
(today I seen a t3 270wsm that had a barrel loose enough you could twist it right out   )

That must have been their take down tactical model designed for spys and snipers, unscrew the barrel and the rest won't get picked up in the metal detectors at the border.

Once they have completed the mission, they unscrew the barrel and pound it into the ground. The rest of the rifle can be melted down in the oven and molded into kitchenware or recycled into barbie dolls, eliminating all evidence.

would you guys rather have a tikka t3 or a rem 700?
Out of the box and as is, the Tikka is the better deal, but if you think that someday down the road you might want to add cool aftermarket goodies like a McMillan or other bbls, mounts, etc, ect, ect, the Remington beats them all.

Was it a NIB Tikka or one that had been shot T/B? I have seen some weird stuff come out of new boxes too! Tikka is no different than any other Manufacturer with regard to weirdness... and better than most for quality control.
I am not going to name the worst manufacturer for quality control... we all know which one that is.;)

crazy thing is it'd been shot a couple hundred times. guy could never get it to group well

how it didnt blow up in his face is beyond me
