I don't know what kind of black magic sorcery is this but do hear me out before drawing any conclusion. I am not sure if Brand really plays a part in here but I would like to present all the material first. I would like to avoid the brand bashing first.
Got 2 NEA 556 upper (1 full 1 stripped), 1 NEA 7.62 full upper, 1 Chiappa m4-22 gen2 upper, 1 556 upper from Nordic Marksman from unknown brand but has a square forge mark on it. Nordic Marksman said it is made and built in US.
Got 2 lower: 1 BCL(NEA) lower, 1 Anderson lower AM-15 (it is a combo deal with TNA).
Ok here goes the story:
I can put all uppers on the NEA lower and function check no problem.
I can put all uppers on the Anderson lower and function check no problem EXCEPT the 7.62 upper that just won't work either takedown or pivot pin. It is not tight.. I can't even push in either pin at all.
I checked with flash light and found the 2 circles are not completely overlapping so the pin wont' close. Checked with other spare takedown and pivot pins they all fits both upper and lower holes to rule out any other factor besides the upper and lower holes won't line-up
At this point I dunno what to say. Which part is out of sync? The Anderson lower is my first guess but wait.. it works on both the Chiappa and unknown upper from US not just the NEA stuff. Also both other NEA (that had 556 on it) works. Only the 7.62 doesn't. But the 7.62 works on the NEA lower...
I am confused .. very confused now. A third lower from a diff brand would help verify if which one is out of spec you think?
Nothing is really out right doesn't work here because besides the 7.62 won't mount on the Anderson lower I checked everything else all functioning fine. One thing that I know... one item here is not full-spec but I just don't know which.
*I know someone will say "Just buy a full factory rifle already damn it!" I know.. I am funny this way.. too late =P
