I thought i bought a CZ 858 Restricted

I got my new(used) rifle this week by mail. The info that i had was that this gun was a CZ-858 restricted. Well it is written on the gun "CZH 2003 Sport". Is this CZH the same as a VZ-58? Cause it as chrome bore. Is this a good news or bad news? This is my first red gun and im very happy about it since i paid only $500.00 for it delivered to my home.

Well aslong as you knew it was restricted thats good.

If the gun looks good and you like it, then your good to go

You bought a Hermex (CZH) made restricted VZ. While very similar it is NOT a CZ-858 which is made by Czeska Zobrovjka (CZ). Each is a different civilian variant of the VZ-58.

The importer, Marstar, calls it a VZ-58s which is a misnomer and basically just makes it sound cool.

But never fear! Both the CHZ2003 and the CZ-858 are good rifles.

vz58s restricted sells for about $500 , the non-restricted cz858 sells for about $650 .

I bought mine on a different web site. I actually sold my CZ 75B the same price i paid my CZH 2003 sport.

not lately it seems like the law of supply and demand has driven the price up a little..... ~$650 to $700 for Vz's lately and I bet if anyone put an as new CZ-858 on the EE for $800 it would be snapped up in a hurry (have you seen how many WTB CZ-858 adds there are?).
