I took the plunge I bought a stripped lower now what do I do?

So I'm a proud owner of a new aero precision lower . I'm building my first ar,i understand that I'm better off buying a complete rifle, but I've never been one for buying something when I can build it when it takes twice as long to build and had zero savings but I get what I want. So how did registering this thing work, since registration has barrel length on it and whatnot. What tools do I need, what parts should I consider and where do I find them. I'm new to this so let's get this thing built! Btw timeframe I'm looking at like year and a half so no rush.
 
It's registered as a receiver only, or receiver, stripped. As odd as this sounds, you still have to lock it like a restricted. Next up, you need a Lower Parts Kit (LPK). This contains all of the pins, springs, the trigger, hammer etc. You'll also need a receiver extension (AKA buffer tube) recoil buffer, recoil spring and stock. Once you put that all together, you have a complete lower receiver. If you want a specialized trigger, a full face hammer, anti-walk pins, ambi safety and mag release, you can buy these parts before assembly. There are various combinations of LPK's that come without these bits.
 
You should get an AR toolkit, you can always buy the tools piece by piece and then figure out how to store them etc but the toolkits save you the trouble and give you a nice way to store them all together etc.

Marstar has a decent kit, I've seen other kits elsewhere too, have a look around and see which one you like.

You might also want to look into an AR gunsmith vice, you can get them pretty cheap and it's a lot easier than trying to work on the thing holding it between your knees in your lap (been there, done that)
 
I agree with canmic that a good toolkit and vises are quite useful. I picked up a wood working vice at Princess Auto (big flat plates and a screw on the bottom so you do not have to bolt it down) to put the upper and lower vice blocks in.

I suggest watching multiple videos and having a couple sets of written material on hand when you do it. Each ne has a particular way of doing it, and better photos than the other for certain items.

Other thing to recommend is, if possible, put it together in a place that is not cluttered, just in case one of the springs go flying :).

Lol. ^^^^This. The front takedown pin detent, for example.
 
Roll pin holders / punches are your best friend. Some kits have a punch that is milled out for the bolt release lever pin . Put some tape down on areas you don't want scratched when driving pins in . Depending on where you live some members may just lend you the required tools .
 
Assembling a lower isn't exactly rocket science - I did my first lower on the kitchen table, during a lunch break, with a hammer, a punch and a roll of tape as a bench block. It's a 20 minute job and frankly I can't see how a vertical receiver block would be any help at all.
 
I did my whole build from start to finish with a set of roll pin punches, and a Magpul BEV Block and Magpul Armorer's wrench. Was easy peasy, and if I had all the pieces in front of me (I did it over the course of a couple months), I could've put the entire rifle together in under 2 hours. There's a video out there where a guy tapes up a set of pliers and installs all the roll pins that way. I think at a bare minimum, you'll need a barrel nut wrench, and an upper receiver block of sorts.
