I want a desert eagle

Ok guys i want to buy a desert eagle as soon as i can afford it(soon)..

Please dont tell me buy a glock 20 sf 10 mm or anything like that because i have already shot one which performed flawlessly, i know its a big gun with big expensive bullets i want to get a .44 magnum.. and eventually a new barrel for .50 ae.

*but i have a problem with the new desert eagles*

I want a desert eagle with the 2 the grooves on the barrel which i think is a Mark VII???? correct me if im wrong.

I dont like the new ones with full accessory rail and i have already emailed magnum research / khar arms.. They told me they dont produce this kind of DE anymore..

Is there anyway to find a mark vii DE? or import a desert eagle brand new in Canada?

If its really impossible to get my hands on the older version ill have no choices but to get the XIX model with the full picatinny rail im just asking..

The older mark XIX that are made in Israel have the 2 grooves. You need to find one that is not made in the USA. You see some that pass on the EE
 
Funny thing is that I was looking at them as well and wasn't impressed by the rail since I really wanted one in titanium gold.

Now that I think of it, I may just get one in brushed chrome and scope her since they were originally designed for silhouette and hunting...

I too am also torn between the .44 and the .50 until I noticed that only the .50 doesn't have a flutted barrel....now saving for a .50!

If only they made quality gold titanium plated handgun scopes.....

except on EE.. anywhere else? i would prefer a brand new one! maybe im asking too much in 2012???

even an older mark XIX barrel would make it for me.. is it possible to order them?

You may find an older barrel set on EE. They don't make the model you want anymore, they're made in america now. The ones you like where made at the original plant in Israel.

BTW, have you shot one? might want to before you buy. Unless you've got hands like a 9 foot NBA player the grips are to damn big. I desperately wanted one until i held one.
 
i have good medium sized hands and i had no problem to hold the pistol properly with both hands.. reach the magasine eject button / slide release. Of course it is alot bigger than my 1911 but that wasnt a problem, the DE grip is little bit bigger than the grip on my 92fs.

I guess ill have no choices but to buy a new mark XIX .44 magnum model and maybe one day get get a used .50 ae barrel somewhere to get exactly the gun i want. :( i wont mount a scope or a red dot on my DE.. Maybe one day i will like the look of the new rail.
 
Not a fan of the new rail set-up on the Desert Eagles now either.

I picked one up off the EE with the two grooves, they do come up.

That's how I got my Mk VII :D

Last time I was at Sean's he had a couple pimped out tiger stripped models in stock.
 
The Picatinny rail was only added recently, the XIX has been around much longer than that. Most people have the mk19.

That being said, have a look at one in person before making up your mind. I do agree about the black ones not looking as good with the Picatinny rail but the shiny finishes look awesome with it! I got one in tiger stripe and I wouldn't want it with the 2 slot style.
