Hi,

I called Harrell directly today and they told me that they do not ship to Canada. Does anyone import them? Any thoughts on something similar that ships to or is made in the the great white north? I'm looking for something that will clamp to a .920 barrel.

As TrxR notes, Bighorn Sales is an importer. They get them as they come unbored from Harrell, which means that they are about .750". While shooters who are able to order directly from Harrel can have the manufacturer bore the tuner to any specific size up to 1.016", those buying an imported Harrel tuner in Canada will have to find a machinist who can bore it to the required size.

There are many varieties of tuners, many of them threaded or specifically desinged for centerfire. Not all of them will be suitable for rimfire. Rimfire tuners used by competitive shooters are invariably clamp-on models. Harrell, Hoehn and Ezell are among those most often seen on .22LR BR rifles.

Insite arms in Lloydminster manufacture a tuner which is meant to be used with their brakes. I would think it could be used with most other brakes and muzzle devices which use the standard thread. their products are top quality and home grown. no affiliation, just an honest observation.

ReddNobb makes the Tuna Can rimfire tuner right here in Canada, but it's not a clamp on. Starting to become quite popular with the PRS/CRPS crowd.

Email, sent to Bighorn, so hopefully I’ll hear back. Turning the bore won’t be an issue as i have a lathe. Thanks for the info on the others I’ll look them up directly as they didn’t come up when I googled barrel tuners.

Ezell wont ship direct but you can get his through reloadinginternational

Thanks I’ll go that way with them.

I really don’t want to turn down the barrel and all the accuracy issues that might drive, so I’m going to continue my search for a clamp on

Excellent thanks

ITAR regulations prevent shipping many gun-related items such as muzzle devices without proper licences/paperwork on the part of the shipper. It's necessary to order from a Canadian supplier to which tuner-makers will ship.
