Hi everybody :) I would like to fit a muzzle break to my Russian SKS. There doesnt seem to be a whole lot of choice out there so.... In deference to the wealth of experience on this site, any recomendations would be greatly appreciated. Dont want to end up with a piece of crap that keeps moving around, also want to change reciever cover to take scope, the old mk 1 eyeballs are getting tired now. Thanks in advance for the help

If you dont want a POS that moves around for your scope mount avoid receiver mounts, none of them hold the zero the way people want. Go for a drilled and tapped side mount.

Hical.ca has quite a few good breaks and scope mounts + he ships fast. I have got both my muzzle breaks from there

muzzle break only if you thread the barrel
scope mount only if you drill/tap receiver or get bctactical scout mount.

anything else and you are just wasting your money

Thanks all... I think Im going to get the barrel threaded..Memories of BFA's falling off SA 80...lol. Also going for a side mounted scope, just dont like stuff moving around on weapons..
Thanks again :)

Heres an easy way to have a threaded barrel, a SKS to AK threaded adapter:

Now you can fit any AK brake! The screws sit flush when tight.

I use the bc tactical mount for my red dot. It's held zero through at least 2-300 rounds. This isn't likely a good option for you though, unless you went with some sort of scout scope. Never seen anyone with a scout scope yet.
