I have no idea how to upload photos on here, so next best thing is just to talk about my favorite type of firearms, PCC. I have a ruger m77 in 357 with a peep sight in stalled. It's my go to gun I carry it every, if I'm on snowmobile, atv, in the fields or in the bush. I have taken gophers, coyotes, rabbits and more. I also own a m77 in 44 with a leupold vx-2 2-7×32 on it that I use as a brush gun for whitetail. Also have a pcc in 9mm, that seems to be everyone's favorite. I have a TNW Aero with glock mags. I have taken gophers and one coyote with it. It's a fun gun to just plink around with. My last pcc is a H&R single shot 500 s&w. I have taken this gun hunting a few times with no luck. I have a plan to take a black bear with it this spring.
Well that's the guns I own! Let's hear about what PCC'S you have and what you use them for.

Here's what I got...

Ruger PC Carbine with aluminum handguard and adjustable stock 9mm

PROS - Reliable, feeds everything, Glock mag support (though it comes with a Glock magwell, the default magwell is a Ruger S9/SR9 and comes with an S9/SR9 mag, lots of places to hang accessories with MLOK and rails, takes down easily, ambi charging handle
CONS - noticeable barrel weight (not even distribution), last round bolt hold open has progressively gotten worse not working with Glock mags (PMAGs, ProMag OK), takedown to clean is annoying - need hex/torque key on screws/bolts (mine are starting to strip on the "captive" ones), shock buffer and clip flimsy connected to recoil rod (I think that's what it is). BTW MCarbo shock buffer and metal retaining clip is a big improvement. You can also get new bolt head retaining pins and extractor, but I haven't seen the need for these for me at the moment. Oh, and also the trigger group pins can easily fall out by themselves once the gun is taken apart (when that happened, all manner of stuff fell out of there and I spent half a day trying to figure out how to put it all back together). Also, mag release button/switch is not in a great place - you have to reach over to get it
USE - range and plinking, possible other uses

Kriss Vector 9mm

PROS - interesting design, takes Glock mags, easy to take apart to clean, vectoring system does reduce recoil for better follow-up shot placement. Comes with a logoed hard case, but useless if you put any optic / fore grip on the gun.
CONS - heavy and bulky, extra small rail piece cost me $45, +P ammunition not recommended in manual, elephant trunk barrel butt ugly and doesn't fit the cutouts of my safe well. Did I mention heavy and bulky?
USE - range, maybe building up arm muscle by hauling it around

TNW ASR 9mm

PROS - easy takedown unscrewing, takes Glock mags, enjoyable to shoot. My kids like this PCC the most for shooting enjoyment.
CONS - for me, it seems to jam somewhat often (failure to feed/double feed) - I am told this is due to the spring that support mult-calibers. Included manual is just a stapled black and white printout. Not a fan of the pulling the charging handle into a notched rest design. Also, screwed in barrel seems to come loose and requires tightening occasionally.
USE - range / plinking

Keltec Sub-2000 Gen 2 .40S&W

PROS - folding concept is great, takes Glock mags, very light, never had a feed or eject problem. It is nice it comes in .40S&W, for something different. This was my first PCC.
CONS - the built in sights are TERRIBLE - I have to disfigure my face on my cheek weld just to get it to somewhat see through. Unfortunately, because of the folding mechanism, I can't put a red dot on it permanently unless using a third party offset mount ($200). Clumsy shooting it with over the head hear pro like Howard Leights - it seems to get in the way. The recoil on the .40 is very noticeable, probably due to the weight of the gun. Also, the charging handle (underside) is extremely stiff to operate (even after years) and the little nub thing is too small. Gun is very plastcky feeling. Not a fan of the charging handle pull into a notched area design.
USE - range, possibly a backpacking/survival gun if I am every stuck in the woods and are accosted by rabid animals

Freedom Ordance FX9 (2021 version) 9mm

PROS - looks super awesome, intuitive controls for mag release and safety. Takes Glock mags. It is a BREEZE to take apart and clean - I would say even a pleasure - no tools needed. Fantastic weight distribution. Adjustable stock. Colour manual with Bible verse - Christian company (this is a pro in my books, but probably not everyone's). Most accurate of all my PCCs. It has easily become my favourite PCC.
CONS - does not come lubed from factory (really dry), gun gets dirty really fast with even mild use, recommends initial 115gr ammo only, my bolt lock/release seems to go off by itself with slight movement or no movement, the last round bolt hold open has gotten worse with working with Glock OEM mags (ProMags, PMAGs have better success). Charging handle can be bigger. Would have preferred a side charging handle rather than the up top T-style.
USE - range, possible other uses

The sub 2000 in40 is one of the next pcc I am going to be looking for. Have wanted some thing that shoots 40 for a while.

I know what you mean with the ruger being very barrel heavy. I have held and played around with a few of them.

My Just Right Carbine has been exactly that. Just Right.

Had a TNW ASR in 9mm once, it jammed too much, sold it at a loss.

Guns like the FX9 and the like peak my interest, but the Just Right Carbines been so good to me its hard to make a change.

Murray was that you in the review video? If so, that is an EXCELLENT video and was exceptionally useful to me after I bought my TNW and was getting acquainted with it. Watched it at least twice in its entirety.

I have

Ruger PCC 9
- Base model running Glock mags
- I had a Vortex red dot on it but then I swapped it to the JR

Like:
Take down is awesome. It fits in a Can Tire tool box
Very reliable. No issues at all even on cheap ammo
Very accurate even with Irons
Threaded barrel if you want addons
Pic rail
Glock mags

Dislike:
No last round bolt hold open
Not a fan of the stock mag release (lots of aftermarket improvements)

I will be putting it in the Magpul backpacker stock as soon as its available
Im still on the fence about putting a red dot back on it. in the backpacker its going to be very compact and i don't want to take away from that

JR Carbine Gen 3 (in 9MM)
-Vortex red dot
-Otherwise stock

Like:
very tatical right out of the box
adjustable stock
threaded barrel (Gen 3 only)
Pic rail everywhere :)
shares many AR parts so upgrades are easy to find
Glock mags

Dislike:
No last round bolt hold open
the long barrel looks like a giant pencil. I get the legal requirements but it still looks dumb :)

I have had 1 jam in about 500rds but i was doing a mag dump. Id give it 9/10 on reliable
its much more fun on the range vs the ruger

I plan on adding a muzzel brake as i find it hops a bit so quick 2nd, 3rd round target acquisition is hard.

I love that they both take Glock Mags, making my life easier.

Pretty much my thoughts as well, once the back packer stock arrives I'll be hard pressed to re-install my red dot as I want to keep it as compact as I can. It's too bad there isn't a replacement tritium front sight on the market though, that would be pretty awesome. Really hope the new stock arrives early in the new year.

I have had a few PCCs over the years and I always come back to finding they just aren't for me. My marlin in 357 mag was the perfect tool for getting rid of a beaver problem a few years ago. But when it comes to range toys, I'd rather shoot .223, when it comes to a walking around gun, I run into coyotes and need the range of .223, and I play 3 gun games with my .223. It's a niche that I can't justify filling in my safe. Plus, with the blowback actions of them, I'm pretty sure felt recoil is almost the same as most .223 rifles. And the lack of a bolt hold open bothers me.

And yet I still want to pick up the Ruger PCC after shooting my friend's.

The only problem I have had with my TNW was the bolt would catch the follower on an empty mag and rip the follower out. I only found that problem with glock mags, had to file down the followers. P-mags function with out any problems.

What are you running for a 223?

i think most of the rugers will go one way or the other

1) full tactical, 6 position stock, Mlock everywhere, forward grips, Red Dots etc !!!
2) backpacker minimalist

What's great is that the platform supports both quite well.

Id def be interested in a new front sight. I really struggle with that trident looking thing... It works but its not my favourite by any means.
