Yeah, I used to have one like that. I had loops of elastic sewn to the inside so that you could stack 2 long guns in there. A friend of mine who used to be into punk music gave me a bunch of old band patches to sew on. It looked old grungy beat up and nothing like a rifle case. In fact the people in the apartment next door kept a sking me to come over and jam, and I had to keep coming up with excuses not too:redface: , so I finally sold it.:(

Your is pretty cool, does it have the backpack straps, then you pretend its a drag bag too:D

Gotta love the guitar case:rockOn:

This was my plan "B" before Darkarcher found me a short AR soft case.
IMHO in a way your case is better as it hides what it is. :)

Is that one of those new Ovation guitars? How does it sound how does it play? Does it have an active pickup? I betcha It's LOUD!:p

It's an electric guitar case so it's only 3" thick and stays fairly rigid.

If I trigger lock the HP9-1 and store the shotgun shells in the outside zippered pouch and padlock the zipper pulls together that would be legal for transport and storage wouldn't it?

Trigger lock for storage and optional for transport. Unloaded for both.
No need to padlock the zippers unless you've got restricteds on board.

Guitar cases or tennis racket bags for shortty shotguns. Good stuff.

Of course, if you live in a neighbourhood of caviar globbering, faux wine connoisseurs who can't appreciate firearms and are friends with Cuk Cukier Clan, then I also suggest a hard music instrument case(dependant on size of firearm) and play a solo piece once in awhile on CD. Should be about to get a rifle or two and a couple pistols and gear into a cello case :)

I just did something similar. Took an old violin case, 30" long inside, and it just fits my 870 with 18.5" barrel, and folding stock. Just have to cut some nice foam to fit and it will be done. Cost me $3 on ebay.

My electric bass case works like a charm to move one rifle back and forth to my buddy's when we reload or tinker at his place as he lives in an apartment building.

I've used a case like that for years for my Mini 14... lots of extra room for the pistol grip and high scope mount. Kinda makes you feel like you have a little secret. ;)
