...everything I want is out of stock in Canada and I can't just order it from the US as I have to wait for a shop to carry it cause of ITAR!!!
Seriously a F&^%ING ejection port dust cover is illegal to import!!!
For a person used to getting what he wants and lacks patience this is extremely frustrating.

I don't know how you guys do it.
 
It's worth the wait. Took almost 5 months to get everything I needed to build my 2 AR's. Some of that delay due to trying to order thru US companies during the holiday season
 
What exactly are you looking for? There hasn't been much I haven't been able to find on this side of the imaginary line.

TBH a few minutes ago I found a few things at CTC. I don't know if they just received stock(Battle Arms stuff) but last I looked it was all out of stock.

I wanted to order an aluminum lightweight and custom engraved dust cover from a US company but it's a no go.
I can buy the aluminum cover here and have it laser engraved elsewhere, I was just trying to skip a step or 2.

Other was a Viper CQB or MOD-1 stock. I held a friends AR the other day and the feel of it with that angled bottom is 100 times better then the stock one on my LMT. I have already talked to CTC about this and it should be coming at the end of this month.

SJC Compensator. Being worked on by another company as they can also get me the Radian(ATSC) Raptor-SD charging handle that is out of stock everywhere.

that might be harder to source, yes you are correct

... and there in lies the problem in Canada: you have to go to 10 companies to get 15 items (paying Canada Post a fortune to ship) while people in the USA can order from factory.

You are 100% correct. More often then not that is the case.
Seems like the firearms has a lot of "exclusive dealers".
Good idea for vendors, bad idea for customers.
Also living in a small town doesn't help as I can't even drive to the city to buy most things.
If there wasn't online ordering I would be in bad shape not just for firearms but everything else.

Thanks for the Irunguns recommendation. I vaguely remember seeing them saying they were starting an laser etching service.
 
Are you sure port covers can't be imported? I've bought several that made it here no problem.

I am just going by what I was emailed from that company.
Maybe they just weren't interested in shipping here.

I appreciate the PM's and the help.
I reached out to Irunguns and I'll go from there.
 
No you can't import anything gun without Homeland approval. Not even a screw to hold a scope mount on or a custom open sight for a pistol!! I have never read where certain amounts are exempt such as the $500 if you fill in a form.
