Hello, all y'all. I am a first time poster, but not new to shooting or purchasing firearms. I grew up hunting around Slave Lake, in the 70s, but married a bambi fan, so quit for about 20 years. About 5 years ago, my son wanted to get into hunting, so I purchased a few firearms, and the bug hit. I now have firearms in .308 (savage model 99e) 30-30 (savage 340c, and schmidt rubin 1889) 7 mm rem mag (Browning bbr), 30.06( stevens 200) There are two hand guns in 9mm as well. I sure am enjoying the reading on the site. I have a question about putting a peep sight on the schmidt rubin, but will ask it on another section.

about the little woman...

My soon to be ex actually became much more into me owning firearms, especially when she found out that she could kibosh the whole deal by stating I was a danger to her or others. She thought that was so wrong, she gave me the okay to purchase. Fast forward a few years, and my girlfriend is not opposed to firearms as long as they are safely stored away from the grandkids. I think I actually have her convinced to try shooting the handguns in the near future! (She likes Elk, Moose, but not deer). Pretty fortunate, I think!
