I wrecked my Archangel stock...what now?

Hey guys.
I made a very bad mistake reassembling my Mosin in my Archangel stock. I was putting the rear action screw in, and I stripped the threads in the pillar in the stock. The screw goes in, kinda tightens up but now I'm convinced I'm stuck with a piece of junk now. Is there any way I can repair this? I emailed Promag and haven't heard back. Thanks.
 
Wrap the screw in teflon, fill the hole with a two part epoxy like Gorilla Epoxy. Thread screw in, wipe away excess epoxy, let set for at least a 20 hours or whatever the product says to cure. Remove the screw, then the teflon off the screw. Clean up any glue that you missed. Should be good to go!

Should I drill out the hole so it's clean and free of debris? The threads are wrecked anyways. Also, how well does epoxy hold up to recoil? Granted the stock will be held in place at the recoil lug, I'm wondering how well the epoxy would hold up after I've fired some rounds.

Use grease on the thread's, a very light coat.
And what do you have to loose now? Maybe even make a how to vid!
 
I wanted to drill and tap the hole the next size bigger but the screw fits the tang very closely. If I went the next size up the screw won't fit in the tang.
 
Spray the screw with Pam or wipe with a paste wax, fill the hole with epoxy, insert the screw ...let dry and unscrew the screw, works everytime.
If you can find an epoxy, with carbon in it, it would be stronger. If you have a boat repair/supply company near by, it would be a great place to find the supplies you need and maybe a little help with your problem.

You can use 1/4-32. I have repaired a few mutilated receiver holes with the latter & it worked well. Or, You could use a standard size & use another screw altogether.

I've done this several times and have not had any issues. You don't need to drill out the pillar as the extra material helps give the epoxy something to bond to. I use Gorilla epoxy and it seems to be as tough as the material most aftermarket stocks are made of. Anyway, my 2 cents.
