Ian does the M-305A

Some of the mags Marstar provided Ian appear to be un-pinned. One string of fire was 12 shots..
I'm sure everything is on the up and up. Figure they have permits for that or something?

Marstar is an across the board 12.x dealer, and have their own range. One of the few private full-auto ranges in the country.

I was aware they have the 12.x and a range, but not clear on how a business can have unpinned mags. Tied in to having a licence to sell to military and law enforcement?

I was wondering how Ian could shot a Ishapore MkIII Vickers-Berthier LMG up in Canada.
Could someone inform someone from south of the 49th Parallel what is the deal with a "private full-auto range"?

Honestly, not super familiar with all the ins and outs of it, but I'll take a stab "from what I know" (and if any of the 12.x guys want to correct me, I won't be offended).

Every licensed range in Canada has types of weapons attached to it. It most cases, this is limited to non-restricted and restricted rifles and shotguns, and handguns (although some ranges are non-restricted weapons only). They're also limited to various calibre "classes" ie: anything up to .50BMG, or pistol calibres only, etc. etc. Lots of conditions and exceptions. Pretty much every range has a list of things they're "allowed" and anything not on the allowed list is verbotten.

Full auto is it's own class of weapons, and pretty much no current range has a license for them. Generally, they're only allowed on military and police ranges. However, if you're lucky enough to be grandfathered into being allowed to own full auto, the odds of you being able to get a transport permit to take it to a full auto designated range is nil. None. Zero. They're safe queens now.

Marstar has been around since Jesus was a cowboy. They have licenses and permits that simply aren't offered anymore. As far as I know, they're the only dealer with the permits necessary to do this.

And import/export to various government agencies. There are a number of companies with a dealer, manufacturing, or import export licenses that can make and/or possess unpinned full capacity magazines as a regular part of their business.

Again, caveats about my knowledge... This is "to the best of my understanding". Anyone with better knowledge wants to correct me, I won't be offended.

Ah, the advantages of being subjects of the Queen. You had your chance in 1776. It is so nice to be able to "throw" the "real" TRW U. S. Rifle, 7.62 mm, M14A1 with all the full capacity 20 round magazine I can carry into the Jeep CJ5, drive 30 miles (oh I forgot) 48.3 km to the national forest (no crown land here) and turn perfectly good ammo into noise at a prodigious rate. Please do not take offence, I'm just fooling with you. Here in the U. S. A. there are some places as bad or worst than in Canada.

The rich history of firearms in this country and Ian goes to Marstar (grumble) and wastes a video on modern Chinese garbage? Oi vey.

I've been avoiding the Marstar videos -- I love Ian and I contribute to his Patreon but I'm not helping anything in relation to those bastards at Marstar, even a view on a video.
