Hi, I'm curious about those recently available 1:14 twist drop-in barrels from IBI. I would like to try one on my CZ457, but if I could get some reviews or feedbacks before doing so it would be nice.
Anyone here have one? Or know of a good review online?

Thanks

The 14T is pretty new. Might not be many out there yet. I’ve got a 12T. It works well. Seems to tighten the vertical spread if my groups. Next time I will go 14T. Sometimes I wonder if the faster twist exacerbates the problem when there is a bullet that is not uniform. My conversations with those who have tried 9T say there are great groups and occasional wild fliers.

As stated 14 is still new, I almost get the feeling some of this stuff is Purple coolaid just have a look at winners circles there are plenty of winners shooting 1/16 I shoot the IBI 1/12 and ya it shoots, I play a lot at 200 and 300 meters. I sometimes feel it shoots better farther out but that could be it's just a better barrel than my cz 457 match at 50 m my cz does produce tighter groups but at 150 the IBI definitely starts to shoot better. And that seems across the board with different kinds of ammo. Would I get a 1/12 again? Maybe would I get an IBI definitely they have good barrels, just wish they made a longer.22 barrel then all my comp rifles would have MDT acc and 26 inch barrels.

26 inches on the 22lr? Interesting.
I've read that altho longer barrels get lower velocities, the SD could be less, so potentially better groups at longer range.
I was wondering going with a 22 inches or 24 inches....undecided...
Your thoughts?

I'm currently shooting an IBI 22" 1:16T Olympic profile. I shoot mostly 50m, 100m and 200m. Only a couple hundred rounds through it so far, and it appears to shoot about the same as my previous barrel at 50m/100m, but noticeably improved my groupings at 200m with the same ammo (Eley match). Haven't played with action torque yet, so there may be more performance to squeeze out of it.

Another guy who I shoot local bench matches with is waiting on an IBI 26" 1:14. He shoots PRS too and from what he's been told the 1:14 is supposed to help for distances beyond 200y/m. The theory is slightly lower velocities, but a faster spinning bullet should be more stable over a longer distance.

There just aren't many out there in that length and twist rate yet... gonna need some people to be guinea pigs.
