I bought a number of cases of Romanian 7.62x39 ammo at Lebaron. Some were brass cases with lead core, and some were steel cases with steel core. For a variety of reasons, I prefer the brass-lead flavour.

I just found some pictures I took that may show the case marking for the brass-lead ammo. I am sure the markings indicate if the ammo is brass cased or lead core.

I suspect it is the "GL" can anyone confirm?

GL designates brass case GS designates Steel lacquered , PS is usually steel cased ball. The VUFL is powder type, lot 1, powder production year 67 powder source U. 1320 count, fara lame is No clips. 47 67 22 will refer to the plant of manufacture for the case and ammo as well as the year of manufacture 1967 .
