Ideal scope for 458win mag?

Hi, I am buying a 458win off of a fellow CGN'er and am now in the market for a scope for this fine gun. Due to the harsh recoil and lack of great accuracy at distance, the choices are a limited a bit. Can anyone give me some suggestions? What do you guys have on your 458s? Thanks.

I've got a brand new Bushnell 4200 1.5-6 for sale in the Parts and Bits Exchange section. They are very solid scopes that Bushnell claims are tested to withstand 10,000 rounds of .375 H&H.

I have a Leupy 6x on my 458 in a Ruger #1. DAN>>>

Go with the LeupoldVXIII 1.5-5X20MM you will probably need lots of eye relief. 619.00 at most stores in Canada. If too much$$$ look at the VXII 1-4X20MM. Both very nice scopes with generouse eye relief. Good luck.

Stupid thought but what about a red dot? Infinate eye relief, no cross hairs to shake around from the recoil...
