Ideas for making or buying a 10/22 stock for 8" dlask 10/22 build

I got this dlask 8" barrel and dlask receiver with Kidd parts that I'm not totally sure what I should do for stock wise. I had a new Boyd's blaster stock that I shortened but it's so fat looking on the forend it kinda looks funny. Need ideas. It's a fun to shoot rifle but if i can't find a nicer stock or idea I may just sell or trade the new barrel off for a lightweight barrel

I think you could get a stock that suits your needs. Find the measurements and make sure it meets OAL when you cut the fore end down and shape it to your liking. Check out this link on the show off thread and you'll see a factory 10/22 stock modified for the 8" barrel. Not the prettiest, but really cool looking, skies the limit really.

Here's mine a couple years ago,I've made some changes since then.Dlask DAR 22 receiver and I reprofiled the pistol grip.OAL 26 1/4 inches.

The stock is a factory carbine stock that I modified.I shortened the forearm,routed a flat for a picatinny rail,removed the grip and made a pistol grip out of poplar,used bondo to fill the voids and removed quite bit of wood with a rasp.I also bedded the receiver with JB weld and pillar bedded the action screw.
