We looked at all of these single shot for my eldest daughter when she was about 6 or 7. In the end, we got her a Ruger American Rimfire Youth. Nice thing is the buttpad can be swapped out for iron sights or scopes, and then you can get the adult buttpad when they get older. They are really accurate for the price and the triggers are respectable. I got the muddy girl camo version through Prophet River for her and she loved it. She is now 15 and shooting cowboy matches with her Taylor lever rifle that is nicer than mine. Her younger sister used it until she got big enough to give her my 10/22 that my father gave me 30 years ago.
