Hi Gang,

A friend sent me some pics of a little .22 he just acquired, and he has no idea what it is. To be frank, neither do I. .22's are not my specialty, but I can usually find stuff through my books.

There seems to be two dates (or models) stamped on it. One is 1925, the other M.1922. It is a .22 caliber, exposed hammer, no bolt, manual ejection. From what he tells me it is very slim.

There is also two other markings. A crown above an S, and another above an R.

Any help appreciated.

The action is generically that of a Remington actionned Flobert, made in large numbers in Belgium. But that one isn't Belgian. Do not recognize the proof marks.
