I have a single round that I cannot identify.
Unfortunately, I am unable to post pics so I will describe it as well as I can.
This is a rimless cartridge.
OAL .887 in.
Case length .556 in.
Case dia. .304 in
Bullet dia. .303 in.
There is a pin of .058 dia. protruding .162 in. from the side of the case near the base of the cartridge.
The headstamp exhibits what appears to be 2 letters in relief, the first illegible, the second might be 'B'.
These letters are positioned above the number "7" which is also in relief.
I presume this to be some early type ammunition but I have no idea what it might have been used in.
