identify this case

Looks identical to the one I have so that would make it a 30mm round from a US A-10 aircraft. GAU-8 cannon round.

Crews sometimes bring duffle bags full of these things to pass around at air shows.

Says 30MM right on the side. I've got a dummy round with the slug in it still - cheap add on to an order from Numrich Gun Parts back in the day that they coud mail things up here.

A-10 tank killer round. (or whatever needs a huge ass hole in it) :D

Just take a ruler and measure the case mouth. If it's 1 inch, then it's a 25mm, if it's just over 1 1/8" then it's a 30mm.
It's marked 30mm, as in the second pic middle row. I just wanted to know which 30mm, as there are / have been a lot of different types.

According to RobSmith, it's from a GAU-8. That makes the shell a remnant of a PGU-15/B, confirmed by more reading of the lettering, and a google image search confirms a match - it was a training round. Thanks for the lead, Rob!

Now to find reloading data ;)

Undoubtedly one of the gazillions that Numrich sold, with the blue projectile, for 10$s a pop (IIRC), I had more than a few myself.
