hi, i am having trouble identifying a rifle that i have that has very few markings , it looks like an Enfield WWII rifle but there are no markings other than "Surrey" written on the top of the barrel and a barely visible marking of "MK4 No 2 " on the reciever, can anyone point me in the direction of a verifier or someone in the Niagara Area that i could take it to ,so that i can verify what it is .
Thanks in advance for any help that any of you might be able to provide

That likely should be "No.4 Mk2" rather than th other way around.

That would make it a post-War production Rifle Number 4 Mark 2. It will have the trigger hung from a block on the Body (Receiver) rather than being pivotted on the Triggerguard.

SURREY identifies it as an ex-military rifle which has been made into a sporter in a British shop. This was done for export as an inexpensive hunting rifle. There were also SUSSEX and ESSEX models.

Likely the rifle will have an aperture rear sight above the rear end of the Bolt.

If you want further confirmation, post a photo. There are several (dozen) people here willing to help.
