Anyone have any idea where I could get an original Browning 1903, or preferably Husqvarna M/07 barrel? I'm thinking about buying the M/07 Marstar has, with a .380 conversion barrel, but as a collector I just can't justify it to myself without a barrel in the original caliber. I think it'd be a fun shooter in .380, but damnit its a bubba. Thoughts?

Actually, the thought occurs I may be able to get a good deal on an original pistol, in which case does anyone have any ideas on getting the conversion barrel?

According to Donnelly, 9mm Browning Long can be made by trimming .38ACP/.38Super brass to 0.800".
Century brought in a quantity of these years ago. They must be around. Well made, quality pistols.

Yeah, I actually have a deal lined up on a very nice Husky. But I just can't justify it to myself without the conversion barrel - I don't reload (yet) and would appreciate the convenience.

If its a good deal, get it. Sooner or later a .380 barrel will turn up, or you will start handloading, or there will be a friend who will help with loading the ammunition.
These are high quality, well made service pistols. The ammunition situation has kept the price lower than it would be if they were chambered for a readily available cartridge.
