IDPA and IPSC course on Vancouver Island - needed

Hey all, been shooting pistols for ever and looking to get into IDPA and IPSC, but after reading the posts here and checking out the BC IPSC / IDPA web site a blackbadge course is required as well a new shooter orientation course. Being on Vancouver Island I can't find any training courses that I need to get the ball rolling. Is there a way to challenge the blackbadge course or is it mandatory. Does anyone knownof a course set for the island in the near future. Thanks for your help
 
Email the IPSC BC webmaster, and your email will be forwarded to the director of the Island. He will be able to put you in touch with an instructor.

IPSC BC has a Black Badge Instructor in Victoria, courses run fairly regularly. There a possiblity there may be a BB course in Naniamo in the future as well. Where on the Isalnd are you located? I may be able to steer you in the right direction. I believe the course is mandatory, no challenging.
As far as I know there are no clubs currently shooting IDPA on the Island.
