I was wondering if you are allowed to modify your pistol for IDPA or is it stock pistols only?

I was thinking of getting the Competition Kit #1 and night sights from glockparts.com

Thanks for your help.

Scott.

The sights are allowed. Like the last poster I don't know what is all in the "Competition Kit#1". Provide a list and I will tell you. IF all you are doing is replacing springs and a different Glock trigger set up then the answer is yes.

Like I said post the contents of the kit.

Yep, I checked the "Beginner Handbook" or whatever it is called on the website and had all the info except what type of pistols are allowed (or maybe I just didn't look hard enough).

Kit has:

-3.5LB disconnector
-4LB trigger spring
-extended mag release
-extended slide release
-extended slide catch

All legal...the last few because of the stock extended controls on the G34/G35...Though I think the 4th and 5th might be the same thing.

If your Glock is a 9MM it can play in SSP and ESP. If a .40cal SSP & ESP and if it is .45acp CDP only.

If it is Glock 17 it would be most competitive in SSP I would think. One thing to remember it is the archer not the arrow. My M&P was used by Sandy W. to win High OVerall in last years Provincials, a fact I haven't foregiven the gun yet. Helped though that Sandy is a Master shooter.:D Clearly I am not.:D

Wrong, Bob! If it's .45ACP, it can play in SSP, ESP and CDP, though it will have to be downloaded to 8 rounds in CDP and it may not be as competitive in the other two.

If you can et the Glock 45 to run at a PF of 125 it would do well in the other two divisions as well. Bigger holes.
