IDPA holster ?

Looking to get into IDPA wondering what holster I should purchase, New to pistols in genral so bear with me, what should I be looking at thigh rig or belt holster?

Any help would be great.

has to be a belt holster, its all about concealment in IDPA

i have a 5.11 tactical holster from daves, works well and is easy on the wallet

you can get the 5.11 brand from daves www.dstactical.com for a very nice price.... make sure to get a double mag pouch too

I run a Blade-Tech UCH inside-the-waistband holster or a Blade-tech injection molded belt hoster for my G17 and G19.

If you want to save money, Uncle Mikes kydex in the paddle is a good option.

Blade Tec also makes a less expensive injected molded holster. Check out their web site. The Shooting Edge out of Calgary also carries the Blade Tec and sells them for the same price as Stateside I am told. Just as a suggestion go for the the 1 3/4" belt (Max in IDPA) and take a hard look at "The Wilderness Belt". Google it and you will find their site. As Wes indicated you will need a double mag pouch or two singlkes as well.

Hey Wes you gotta watch out for those shooters from along the 401! According to one of the local Mayors, near there, the place is a bloody war zone. In order to reduce the number of handguns being carried by the locals the Mayor plans to introduce a ban on wearing pants thus making it illegal to wear a belt ergo no place to hang a holster, therefore no guns. Seems entirely logical to me.

You really gotta watch the bouncing ball.
