I'm very interested in getting into this sport. I am tentatively planning on buying a S&W M&P 9mm and thought that I better check out what I need to participate in this sport before I actually buy. Is it possible to go an watch a IDPA shoot (? not sure if it's called a shoot) to see what it's all about?

:)Canuck44 will be here shortly. He is the Canadian IDPA Dude-in-Charge:D
He will hook you up.

The M&P is a good choice. It has a lot of advantages for a new IDPA'er not the least of which is the ability to adjust the grip to better fit your hand. I bought one on Canuck44's recommendation and it has been very good.

Regards,
John
