IDPA in Trails End, Chatham Ontario

I wouldn't crawl around on the ground anyway. I would have opted out. That's why I like IDPA as opposed to IPSC. IDPA takes (or its intent was) into account that some people can't run around with a gun or jump up and down etc.. I think it kinda needs to go back to its roots that way, that being a sport were everyone can play.

I kind of like the idea of a physical element of shooting. The interesting part is to see how technical a person remains in light of being out of energy. I haven't shot a match yet, but wouldn't be opposed to a little more running and gunning.

alot of the stages i've shot here locally, have been shooting while on the move !!!..makes it interesting, shooting a moving target, while moving yourself !!!...not as easy as one may think !!!, especially being timed!LOL

LOL, I have enough trouble shooting stationary targets while standing still! :p

Perhaps I will defer my running and gunning comment until after my first match LOL see how my scores stack up

LOL, shot "swinging" targets for the first time on saturday (when only about half the target is exposed)...thought to my self.."how hard could it be"...well when it's your turn, and the adrenaline is pumping.......you'd be surprised, you'd think those targets were moving WAY faster than they REALLY are !!LOL...BUT still a TON 'O FUN !!!...Onagoth, you should try and make it down for the shoot on the 27th

I have already planned on it, I would of been to the last shoot, but I didn't know it existed until this post. Since then, I have joined up on IDPA windsor's website to stay in touch. Really pumped. Action shooting has been several months in the works for me, mostly due to time delays with the ATT.

good to hear !!..when the time gets closer PM me if you need directions or anything like that (the range it's held at can be kinf of hard to find, if you've never been there before)

Neither would I, but from what I'm told (I couldn't make the shoot, so I don't know for sure), it's a range rule & was explained before the stage.

Bummer. Very tough stage for a lefty.

Looking at the setup I would respectfully suggest a better setup would have allowed the shooters to fire across the car instead of parallel to it. Would have made it a little more left\right neutral (especially in light of the 'car rule':) ).

Good lesson for all of us when designing stages :D

Longest movement in IDPA is 10 yards with total movement limited to 15 yards per string see rule book Page 12.

Take Care

Left hand friendly stages are VERY tough to come by at times- and for people with restricted abilities- but its a game, and gotta play by the rules of whoever is running it
Whoever sets the stages up will kind of make them better for them, not always intentionally of course-
Kneeling down is VERY painful for me to do, but i try and keep the spirit of the game
I am working the date of the next match here, so that car is safe
