Hey there
This should be my last post in regards to my new gun that i want.

The reason I want it is for shooting IDPA and PPC.
So I take it the 1911A1 will be the best choice yes?

With it i can shoot Enhanced, Custom and use it for PPC. I think.

Do a lot of clubs shoot stock service pistol?

I was initally looking at a CZ-75 0r a 1911 A1 in 9mm. Now im thinking of a Norinco in 45. I want to be able to do the most shooting with one gun.

Is there a glock or a gun that I can shoot in
Stock
Enhanced
Custom
and PPC??

Thanks for all the help.

The 1911 is a good choice. For PPC, there is no need for anything more than a 9mm or .38 super. If you looking at Norinco, take a hard look at the single stack NP-29 in 9mm.

Another thing you might want to concider is IPSC Production. With the CZ-78/85, you can shoot one gun for PPC, IDPA, and IPSC standard and production.

Was thinking of a CZ 75 or a 1911. I was told that locally most folks shoot the enhanced or custom class so i suppose the CZ would be out
I thought .45 was the most common caliber for PPC and was all i could really use. Dont know what to do.
Mabey I should just hold off for a while and shoot a rimfire for fun.
Plus I can teach my GF how to shoot.
So many choices with so little money to spend.

The biggest problem with the .45 is the cost of the ammo. Unless you load your own and shoot cast lead, the ammo is pretty expencive compared to 9mm or .40.

In PPC, the most common caliber is .38 special. For service class, 9mm is the most practical

You can shoot everthing with a Glock 17 even Bullseye center fire.
You may not "win" the "made up" games without a "made up" gun, but you will learn to shoot, at reduced cost. Get a press and make thousands of rounds of 9mm shoot 30,000 rounds this year. 9mm brass is free!
