If not Lapua, then?

Alpha makes 6br brass as well. I use it in my 22br. I don't like it as much as lapua but it's alright if you can't get lapua. Could also just buy some factory loaded lapua 6br to get the brass. Not cheap but it's pretty easy to find

Alpha has dimensions different than Lapua and Norma. They have a different .200 datum diameter. Alpha even recommend a different reamer specs for the Alpha.
There is a lots of posts on accurate shooters about it. Stay away. Avoid problems with the Alpha 6BR brass.

Myself I have been asked to turn neck on a box of 50 necked up to .30, and was not impressed by the uniformity of the neck. Even if it was a limited samples, after that, for myself, no way I will buy that.
Petersen is a way better option in my view.

The Lapua 6BR is starting to show up in the US. Creedmoor Sport has it. They will trickle here by April was told. True or not ? Will have to wait and see I guess.

Tesro and Hirsch show Lapua 6BR Norma target ammo in stock, 50 count boxes. Yes more expensive than brass, but you get the brass for "free" after one firing. :)

I have done the same for Lapua 6.5x47L factory loaded target ammo (with Scenars), bought just for the brass, and had alot of fun shooting Lapua's loaded ammo. It performed just as well, and sometimes better than my handloads with the same brass and using the same weight Scenars.

Shooting target grade ammo provides an interesting benchmark for your rifle and your reloading system. If your handloads can perform better group size than the factory target loads with the same ammo, then that tells you that your reloading system is doing X% better than the factory groups. If your handloads are doing groups size even with, or worse than the factory by Y%, then that gives you a quantifiable performance measure to work on with your reloading to improve your groups.

But! But ! KT says use Alpha ?? RJ

I've never personally used Alpha brass, I just know it's top quality.

But if the chamber specs are different, then yeah, that's a problem. I remember the accurateshooter guys initially testing Alpha for 6BR and 6BRA were really hot on the stuff. I guess problems must've emerged after a few firings or maybe there was a design change from Alpha.
