I have been using Igman 7.62 x 39 soft point for years now for deer but my stock has run out. I have tryed every place I can think of to pick up some more. Have I left it too late in the season? Anyone see anything out there anywhere? The only other type I have been able to find is the Sellier & Bellot and my rifle hates it.

I have never heard of igman, so i'm not even sure if it is still in production. I just got some of the soft point from Tulammo, one of the sponsors. I haven't gotten a chance to shoot any yet, so i can't comment on how it shoots, but it's a much better price than any other soft points i typically see around.

I have a box of Igman squirrelled away in my stash, but have never fired a round. The PRVI stuff shoots so well in my rifles that I have no need to try anything else. Give it a try if you can source some.

If you get squeezed for time, you could ask a buddy who reloads to pull some military FMJ and stick in a soft point for you.

I am thinking Moscow Match is in my near future. A local shop has some RL-7, Hornady .310" 123 gr soft points and 7.62 x 39 dies in stock.
