Just visited the districorp site & the igman ammo add has a message that says" Due to import regulatio issues all igman ammo sale are on hold". Any idea why? Igman 8mm mauser is all I can get for sane prices round these parts.

"...import regulation issues..." Our idiot civil servants may have decided that the primers Igman uses are not environmentally friendly.
Reloading will make this issue go away.

Actually reloading will make it worse. My main sourse of brass is from fired igman cases, esp 7.62x54r. The only other sources are norma(ouch), lapua(super ouch), & grafs from bc redneck if they have any.

"...reloading will make it worse..." Commercial 8mm Mauser brass isn't hard to come by, you won't be searching for the best price for ammo and you'll be using better ammo. You tailor the load for your rifle and forget about the milsurp.

And mercury fulminate caps are? What about TNT? Idiots.

Ban on mercuric primers but also ban on incandescant light bulbs which will be replaced by mercury containing compast flourescents. more than environmental concers here.

Biggest BS ever.... They put so much emphasis on safety that it's just beyond imagination... yet the medical system.......

We used nothing but mercuric primers in the Army, and I've yet to know of anybody that had mercury poisoning. And when I say use, I mean USE.... A trucload a day. (literaly). We cleaned the rifles in the field and then had chow.

Are we the same country that harbour a big chunk of nuclear waste from all over... in out beautiful, polar-bear-deprived- North?

Is there no limit for the lack of common sense?:puke:

I was at Distri corp a month or so ago to pick up some ammo for my SKS ( he has no more BTW, I got his last 300rds.) and he mentioned something about having problems importing certain ammo due to gov't reg's.
