Ignacio Ugartechia info?

Hello all

Just picked up a (new-to-me) shotgun found lots of info and maker but couldn't find any info to decode the year, and model. I know its not one of the nicer ignacio's but a little info would be great.

markings on the flat plane of the barrel
-12-70 i know thats the chamber.

-850kgs

also if any one has took the stock off one let me know i have took every screw off believe holds it on it is look and can move quite a bit but still is cought on something

12/70 as you know is the gauge and chamber length. IIRC 850kgs is the proof strength. There should also be numbers indicating barrel diameter in centimeters (18.xx) and choke diameters (18.xx or 17.xx) Try this site for maker's mark, other proof marks and date stamp.

found out year K-1 (1965) now on one barrel it says 18,4 other one says 17,7 and 18,4

The 18.4 is the bore at proof. So the one marked 18.4/17.7 will be improved cylinder. If the other barrel only says 18.4, then it should be cylinder bore by the way I figure it.

Careful Brian. If it is a boxlock the stock is likely catching on the sears. You may have to knock out the the sear pin (the one closest to the stock) to remove it.
