illuminated reticle inop

Hi, All,

Need some assistance folks. Purchased a Bushnell Trophy XLT 1-4X24 scope with illuminated reticle today and had it mounted on my .22 rifle. Went to sight it in (shot about 40 rounds, and the illuminated reticle stopped working. Tried changing the battery, nothing. Got another one, mounted it on the rifle. Reticle was working. Went to re-sight. Fired off 40 rounds. Reticle crapped out again. Any ideas? Am I just really unlucky and got two lemons?
