Illuminated Reticule Use

What happens when the battery runs out in the field and you have no spares, can the scope still be used? Will the crosshair still be visible

Yes, no problem with that for most scopes.

It's the red dots that won't work.

I use a Springfield 3rd Gen with lit reticle, and after the battery wore out, I never bothered to replace it. Works just fine. (Mounted on a Savage 10FP in .308)
