I'm going Long Branch band mining in Canada

That $350 price tag is for a hinged LB front band. These were only used on the very early rifles, and are pretty rare. I only have one myself, (thanks to granite, who sold it to me for $5 :):) ) and it is destined for my 41 LB rifle when I ever get around to restoring it.

The majority of the 41 dated rifles ended up in Brit service and were FTR'd after the war, losing whatever special parts they had. Thus the premium on some of the early parts like the hinged front band, the early pattern front sight guard, and the low cut forend wood.

$350 is a little steep, but at the same time, they still make money, they don't make LB hinged front bands anymore.

Holy crap! We better set up a manufacturing line. I used to buy a lot from Springfield Sporters and always found their prices and service good. Maybe that's a typo. I understand they won't ship internationally any more, so maybe they just saved the more ardent LB people some money.;)

Springfield Sporters is a two hour trip from my house but the $350.00 might be part of NAFTA.

We get more for the hinged LB band and you overcharge Americans for #3 bolt heads. :D
