There's been a bear around my place for a few weeks and as my neighbours put a lot of hen scratch out for the geese the bugger aquired a taste for it. Now he's at my place over the last few days trying to get at my bird feeder.
He won't bugger off when I yell or the dogs bark. A snowball used to do it, not any more. Yesterday I hit him with a rock once at the beach which scared him off for a bit only to find him under the bird feeder at about 9:00 having a little snooze
Smoked him with another rock from right above him and he kind of sauntered off.
To answer the obvious question, I can't shoot him where I live unless its a life or limb thing and I don't want to loose my guns
So tonight, I stand on guard armed with my spear. OK, not really a spear its about a 7 foot chunk of 1" dowling that the blue jays are perched on here.
I see him yonder. I will wait for his return. And with a blood curdling war hoop I will spear him from above in the but with my spear. I have it all worked out. The spear is too short to reach the ground by about 2 feet. Perfect to thump the little bastard with my 100 calibre hardwood piece or badness a time or two!. And hopefully send him away for good!!
This will be our finest hour.
