So about a month ago I was out looking at Browning Maxus's to aid in the retirement of my SX3 lol. Truthfully I have no intention on retiring it but its about 11 years old, all the duratouch has come off, the stock and fore end is almost 50% white. Browning says they will repair under warranty but it will take around 6 months and no guarantees on time because of Covid.

While handling guns I asked the clerk to let me hold a SBE3 . . . instantly fell in love with the feel of this gun. Shouldering was dreamy, its so slim and has such a thin profile, just what I want in a shotgun. However I had read SOOO much negativity about the guns shooting high and left or just high I couldn't possibly pull the trigger on the purchase. About a month passes and I was doing more and more research, and quite frankly wasn't finding any newer reviews on guns that showed the gun shooting at least a 60/40 pattern. I had previously owned a Vinci about 8 years ago and I hated it for 2 reason, it also shot 2 feet high at 30 yards, so I missed a lot and never got comfortable "floating targets" and the recoil was brutal. Call me a baby if you'd like, but I'm 6 ft 290 lbs, my soft body couldn't handle it lol.

In any event, I found a guy selling a basically new SBE3 in Nova Scotia for 2 grand. Guy seemed legit, gun pics looked good so I pulled the trigger on the deal. It arrive last Friday so I took it out to play. I didn't have a chance to put it through too much, a few slugs and a box of AA trap loads. I didn't shoot at paper to test the pattern.

Here is what I learned, I didn't miss anything I shot at from the trap thrower. Which tells me, at least my gun isn't shooting super high, because I adjusted nothing in my shooting style and I was dusting clays. Recoil with both the slugs and the AA's were not noticeable at all but obviously the slugs hit harder, but completely manageable. Slugs at 50 yards were 4 inches high at 50 yards.

I'll post some more reviews as I play with it more, but I have no regrets on the purchase at this point.

Good to hear that the SBE3 works so well for you.
I,too, have read about it shooting high etc. I recall that you get shims with the gun which will allow you to change the POI if necessary.
Happy shooting
