Last weekend it was the first time I shot my Winchester Wildcat Target/Varmint at 100 yards.
These are my best groups (Eley Sport, green box). Bench rest, foggy day but no wind, both groups are 5 rounds each.
I don't care about the flyers. I'm in love.

Very fine indeed- my CIL/Anschütz sporter has gone to the corner to sulk. It only does 1 1/4" @ 100 yds. (with Federal bulk ammo, though.)

I hadn't heard if this rifle but a google search turned up a "Guns" Magazine 2007 article by Holt Bodinson which was very favourable. Turns out it's made in Russia. But according to the Winchester website, it was discontinued in 2009. Looks like you have a winner.

Yes, the Winchester Wildcat is in fact a TOZ-78 manufactured by the Tula firearms factory in Russia.

Well, they've been in business since 1712, so they obviously know what they're doing!
