Hello,...I'm looking to purchase a good quality table top (compact) tripod for a spotting scope. It will be used for bench rest target shooting, if anyone can give some suggestions of a top brand and the best place to purchase one, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for the information and also for your time.

If it is only for bench work, the best one I have tried in 15+ years of BR is a simple piece of steel bent into a "L" and you use a window mount to hold the spotter to the "L" and a C clamp to hold the "L" to the bench. Cheap too. Use a 1/4" thick piece or better yet a 3/8" pc, 1" wide and 8" long then bend it so you have 2" to c-clamp it to the bench. This is so the wind does not blow the scope around. Best thing, you can't knock your scope off the bench!
